What is the difference between Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Respite?
Skilled Care respite typically involves temporary care provided by licensed healthcare professionals, such as registered nurses or therapists. It is often utilized for individuals with complex medical needs or chronic conditions that require specialized care. Assisted Living respite care is a temporary stay in an assisted living community. It is designed for individuals who may need assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, medication management or meal preparation. Assisted living provides a supportive and homelike environment for individuals who require some level of assistance but do not necessarily require extensive medical care such as provided in a skilled care setting.
